Job Descriptions

Painter
Full time / Part time / Temporary positions available for painting and decorating with an emphasis in commercial repaint, tenant finish and residential repaint.

Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
   1. Preparation of all surfaces interior or exterior.
   2. Painting of all surfaces interior and exterior using correct coating methods with proper materials.
   3. Independent use of  ladders up to 28 feet in length for entire work shift.
   4. Ability to erect and work on rolling scaffold for entire work shift.
   5. Ability to carry full 5 gallon container of paint upstairs.
   6. Ability to wear and use respirators, as needed.
   7. Capable of bending and working on knees to reach painting surfaces for entire work shift.
   8. Willingness to work on all weather conditions applicable to painting.

Experience: High School diploma or GED. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the above listed areas of painting and decorating. Must have good work ethic and good attendance history with previous employers.

Painter's Helper
Full time / Part time / Temporary positions available for assisting in painting and decorating with an emphasis in commercial repaint, tenant finish and residential repaint.

Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to, assisting a journeyman level painter with the above responsibilities (#1-8).

Experience: High School diploma or GED. Must have good work ethic and good attendance history with previous employers.


Other Requirements

Must provide your own registered, reliable vehicle while having a valid driver's license. Possess a residential phone or cell phone. Have clean appearance and dress. Ability to work neatly. Willingness to learn through ongoing education within the field. Ability to adapt to Happy Valley Painters, Inc.'s way of operating in the field.
